Giving Back

Now that I have been out of college for three years, I want to try to give back to good old Valpo. I have been keeping in contact with several alumni to see how they gave back to their schools and universities. I have already brought several fellow college students over to Asia to give them the travel and Asia experience bugs! I also was able to hire a fellow college student who is now my roommate. I have been able to let the school use my story to draw in more students, but in the future I want to go back to school to give a short presentation to fellow students to open their minds to what they can do and to also keep myself fresh and young as the years go by.

Example of a Car Club Clinic

So many people ask what I do on a weekend, well here is a short video from a car club member that shows me in action holding a car club clinic for the Mitsubishi SUV club of Hong Kong. This clinic was for fifteen people and we sold over $2,000 US!! I figured this was interesting to see and hear me. I can tell I was tired that morning after hearing myself! haha

Bangalore and Mumbai India

I just wrapped up a trip to Bangalore and Mumbai India after coming from the Middle East. It is such a new and exciting place to travel to, besides my stomach pains, since the company is starting brand spanking new there! I was able to go there and meet with our team to kick start our marketing and sales programs there. I know I will be going there many more times over the next several years to really get the program and business going! We were also able to hold our first car club clinic while I was there. We did not have the fancy tents, banners and other branding, but we had the basics, car guys and our products so the clinic still went well!

2009 Kuala Lumpur Asia/Middle East Conference

Asia Pacific and Middle East Conference

The Asia Pacific and Middle East Conference just wrapped up last week in Malaysia. At this conference we had over 38 partners come to it and we held several workshops on marketing and sales. This is a once a year meeting and was extremely busy over the three days we held it in Malaysia. I took charge on viral marketing and also the new website that we have put together. By bringing online video capability to the company, I am actually heading to the states for my old college roommates wedding, family time and also to head to headquarters to talk MORE about viral marketing and how to increase our web presence! All this busy work has probably been why I have not been able to keep better track of this blog. This upcoming month looks to be a busy one with travel to Malaysia, USA, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and then back to Hong Kong. All has been well, I am just looking forward to heading back home for a while to rest and recharge my batteries. The pictures you see are from the Friday night car show we held at our Meguiar's Show Car Detail Center in Kuala Lumpur. The rides there were incredible!

Beijing is Hot and Cold!

Last month I was in Beijing for work and it snowed for four days there! After working in mainland China for some time now, its amazing to see the rapid growth and lightning speed at which things change! SEMA from the states has just entered China for the first time last November and now being back a few months later, it is amazing to see how people in Beijing love Cars, and love to adopt and work with NEW and exciting ideas or products! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for work in Asia, the growth so far has been amazing! So yes its hot for business but WOW was this trip was cold weather wise! brrrr

Too Busy!

Well, I am officially bad at updating blogs! I guess its a good thing overall since I have an active lifestyle and if I was always on the web with a blog I would have no time for sales! haha I have been doing great over the past year. I have been traveling as always for work and working at my new responsibilities which are for southeast Asia and Middle East Sales. I have found a great group of friends in Hong Kong through my local church here in the Central area of Hong Kong. I spent the Christmas 08 holidays in Boston, MA with my family and Chicago was the place for New Years with my friends from Valpo there. When I returned to Hong Kong, there was Chinese New Years and I spent that holiday in Cebu Phillipines. It is a great vacation spot with amazing seafood and exotic views!
